We, Alan’s Regional Extension Center and College of Medicine family, feel a deep emptiness in our hearts at the thought of his passing. He was an esteemed co-worker and colleague and a valued friend who will be sincerely missed, and always remembered, by everyone who knew and loved him. His genuine devotion to improving the quality of our health care system, through the adoption of health information technology, will serve as a shining example for our staff, colleagues, and our clients as a whole, and his memory will live on through the realization of our mission. Our thoughts and prayers are with Alan’s family and loved ones during this difficult time, and we hope that they find healing and peace in the months ahead, and future comfort as the quality of health care, an area that Alan passionately cared about, reaches its optimal state.
