Live Webinars for Florida Health Finder Website Now Offered
Tallahassee, Fla.—The Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) is now offering free introductory webinars of the nationally recognized FloridaHealthFinder.gov website. The webinars are a great opportunity for a wide variety of audiences including consumers, researchers, business owners, providers and the media to learn how to use the FloridaHealthFinder.gov website to access information about medical conditions, compare health care facilities and providers, view inspection reports, find health care resources and more.
“Just about everyone can benefit from easy access to health care information through one of our webinars,” said Molly McKinstry, Deputy Secretary for Health Quality Assurance. “The information provided can serve as a resource for improving patient care and helping consumers make informed choices about their health care.”
The webinars are live virtual tours featuring major highlights of the FloridaHealthFinder.gov website and includes a question and answer period to address consumers and businesses’ personal needs and queries regarding the site. Those who would benefit from the webinars include health care professionals, insurance or managed care providers, people that work in the regulatory field and health-related governmental agencies as well as academic settings.
“The webinar was well presented, and in a meaningful way that made it easy to follow,” said Ellen Pruitt, RN, MSN, Nursing Director for the Southeast Region of Children’s Medical Services. “Staff enjoyed the presentation and feel the website is useful in their day to day healthcare management of Florida’s families.”
“The webinar was excellent,” added colleague Carol Bannister, RN, Nursing Supervisor for CMS. “A lot of valuable information is on the website and it is easy to navigate.”
To sign up for the webinar, consumers and businesses should complete the “Contact Us” form at http://www.floridahealthfinder.gov/contactus/ContactUs.aspx, and a webinar time and date will be provided, followed by an invitation with instructions on how to log in.
