The system changes necessary to upgrade MAPIR (the online Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program application) to reflect Program Year 2013 changes for Meaningful Use have not been completed.  Until such time these changes are in place, Eligible Professionals will need to wait to start their 2013 Meaningful Use applications.

The new Stage Two Meaningful Use rule changed the requirements providers must meet, even in Stage One, for the 2013 Program Year.  This included the removal of two measures.  Without the system update, providers will be required to attest to old measures.  Additionally, any information entered into the application system prior to the upgrade will not be carried forward and providers will have to start the application process over.

Please know that AHCA is working with their programmers to determine a date when the upgrade will be completed.  If you have started your Program Year 2013 Meaningful Use application, please abort that application.  You will be notified when the upgrade is complete and your 2013 Meaningful Use application can be started and submitted.  Notifications will be made via the EHR Incentive Program website, as well as through Provider Alerts, when 2013 Meaningful Use applications can be started and submitted.

If you are not signed up for Provider Alerts, please visit the AHCA website and sign up under Contact.

Providers submitting an application for their first year payment for Adopt, Implement, or Upgrade (AIU) are not affected by the delay and can submit their application now.  Please refer to our website for information on volume changes for Program Year 2013 for either AIU or Meaningful Use applications.
